every trail tells a story – here’s mine

I’M JENNIFER LOVE

My outdoor story started before I could even walk— at just a week old, I went on my first camping trip.

From childhood hikes along the California coast to exploring Upstate New York’s forest and the Adirondacks, the outdoors has always been where I feel most at home. Adventure is where I feel most alive.

As a Deaf adventurer, I’m passionate about making the outdoors more inclusive and accessible. Whether its through hiking, camping, or backpacking, I’m here to inspire you to step outside— no matter your starting point.

So, whether you’re here for outdoor inspiration, practical tips, or just a fellow adventure-lover to connect with, I’m so glad you’re here!

best moments happen outside

1991

born for adventure

My outdoorsy parents didn’t waste any time introducing me to nature. Just a week after I was born, they loaded up our old RV and hit the road, taking me along for the ride. You could say my love for adventure started before I could even open my eyes!

Every summer, my siblings and I traveled across the states with my parents in our RV, exploring National Parks, campgrounds, bike paths and trails— each trip planing deeper roots in my love for the nature.

2005

falling in love with backcountry

At 13, I went on my first backpacking trip with my camp friends from Aspen camp, Colorado, and something clicked— I knew this was where I belonged.

2013

a leap of independence

I moved to Upstate New York, ready to challenge myself and see how far I could go. It was a test of independence, resilience, and curiosity. That same year, I met my now-husband, and our shared love for adventure brought us even closer.

2014

an unexpected summit

What started as a spontaneous hike turned into an epic milestone— my boyfriend (now husband) and I accidentally summited Mt. Washington, New Hampshire’s highest peak, with our two dogs, Shelby and Trip.

Between then and now, countless road trips, hiking trails, and camping adventures have fueled our love for the outdoors.

2021

a proposal at the peak

One of my proudest moments— summiting Mt. Marcy, the highest peak in New York. Little did I know, the real highlight of the hike wasn’t reaching the summit— it was when he got down on one knee.

2021

Winter elopement at Clinton Gulch Dam near Vail, Colorado

a wedding in the wild

We wanted our love story to reflect who we are— so we eloped in the mountains of Colorado, surrounded by the mountains that mean so much to us.

now

a full circle moment

As I move back to California, I’m reconnecting with the places that first made me fall in love with the outdoors.
